BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS
After completing her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Adelaide, Dr Ryan obtained a broad spectrum of surgical training in UK and subsequently trained in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in both London and Melbourne Australia.
She obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2007. Dr Ryan went on to undertake further subspecialty training in Paediatric Ear Nose and Throat Surgery in Auckland New Zealand.
Dr Ryan is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a Member of the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (ASOHNS), the Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology (ANZSPO), the Australia and New Zealand Rhinologic Society (ANZRS) and the Australian Sleep Association (ASA).
Dr Ryan maintains her ongoing Continuing Professional Development through regular attendance at Conferences and Courses around the world. She sits on Hospital Committees and is closely involved in the ongoing education of medical students, residents, ENT Trainees and other medical colleagues.
Dr Ryan consults at Northpark Private Hospital in Bundoora and at 48 Flemington Road in the Parkville Medical Precinct.
Private operating is performed at Northpark Private Hospital in Bundoora, St Vincent’s Private Hospital in East Melbourne and Epworth Richmond Private Hospital. All sites care for young children as well as adult patients, with ICU facilities at Epworth Richmond.
Appointments for consultation and operations are available outside normal business hours to provide maximum ease of access. Onsite audiology is also available at her Bundoora and Parkville sites in order to streamline the patient experience and is bulk billed.
Dr Ryan encourages patients to contact her highly competent office staff for any enquiries and is always available to colleagues for medical advice. In the event of an emergency Dr Ryan has highly qualified teams available 24 hours a day at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Parkville and Austin Hospital in Heidelberg.
Dr Ryan has public hospital positions where she sees public patients in the outpatient department as well as operating at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Parkville, Austin Health in Heidelberg and Northern Health in Epping.
Caroline enjoys an active and busy life with her family including her husband and three children, participating in their school and co-curricular activities. She loves to travel, ski, exercise, read and spend quality time with her friends, family and pets.
